2 tat, parts of the plants that protrude from the pots will be damaged and the plant will be useless.
Furthermore, pots in large-scale industrial agriculture, horticulture, agriculture and greenhouse cultivation often have to be replaced because the plants grow quickly when they are provided with optimal levels of sunlight, heat and fertilizer. But there are no devices that can stabilize and protect the plants, and which also include different pot sizes.
Prior art US 5,022,183 relates to a slat for holding a flower pot, which has a pot bottom with drainage heel. The trough has a flat bottom wall to support the bottom of the pot and prevent the pot from moving parallel to the bottom wall. A protrusion is formed on the wooden bottom wall in line with the drainage heel of a pot. The committee has a transverse lip arranged to lie over the bottom of the pot and prevent transverse movement relative to the plane of the wooden bottom wall.
US 2005 235 557 relates to a device for covering the space between a top container edge of an inner seedling container and the inside wall of an outer decorative container, in which the inner seedling container is placed, comprising a plurality of curved pieces which are tiltably joined end towards end, the device having opposite non-connected ends. The curved pieces are joined in such a way that the device can be adjustably moved in annular configurations of different diameters to approximately fit between the inner wall of the outer decoration container and stand on the top edge of the inner seedling container. Clamps or fl ices extend downwardly from the device to cooperate with the top edge of the inner container and to keep the pieces from moving inwardly, thereby maintaining the adjusted diameter of the device and holding the device in position on the inner container.
JP 7 255 578 describes a flower pot support which prevents tipping of the potted plant. A peripheral edge is formed around the outer periphery of the bottom of the flowerpot support, is made of plastic and provided with a window in its circumferential wall in the form of an inverted truncated cone which holds the outer periphery of the bottom of the flowerpot, and an annular metal weight is inserted around the outer periphery of the peripheral edge and three legs protrude from the outer periphery of the bottom surface of the peripheral edge, and the flowerpot can be prevented from tipping over by the combination effect with lowered center of gravity by weight and stable support of the flowerpot with the legs enlarging the support point.
The main disadvantage of the embodiments described in the above-mentioned documents with known technology is that they neither maximize the efficient use of the germination space nor provide an optimal distance between the plant germ containers. In addition, a plant can easily tip over when the plant has grown beyond the pot's capacity to lower its center of gravity. A further disadvantage is that the documents with known technology do not provide the necessary support for stabilization of pots that are transported in vehicles or moved on conveyor belts. Another disadvantage is that the known embodiments cannot prevent parts of the plants protruding from the pots from being damaged when the pots collide during transport or movement.
Consequently, there is a need for pots that can provide adjustable space between a plurality of pots. In addition, there is a need for adjustable pots, which can support different sizes of plants placed in pots without tipping over and at the same time prevent the potted plants from being damaged when they collide with each other during either vehicle transport or conveyor belt conveyor.
The invention in summary The object of the present invention is to provide a device which (I) maximizes the efficient use of the germination space and provides optimal spacing, (ll) stabilizes different sizes of seedlings in pots, so that seedlings in pots do not tip over and (lll) prevents plants from being damaged when the pots collide during transport or movement.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that a pot device of the type stated in the preamble of claim 1 comprises the specific feature in that the extension of the frame is adjustable in a horizontal plane.
The pot is thus provided with an outer frame, which is adjustable in a horizontal plane. This allows the frame to be widened as the plant grows, in order to stabilize the plant in the pot and also prevent the plants from colliding with each other during transport or movement.
According to a preferred embodiment, the frame is designed as a closed loop seen in the horizontal plane. This minimizes the risk of the pot devices getting stuck in each other.
In accordance with a further preferred embodiment, the closed loop is substantially circular. This allows the pot device to be stable in all directions. In accordance with a further preferred embodiment, the frame comprises a plurality of circumferentially distributed sections. This facilitates that the extent of the frame can be regulated in a horizontal plane.
In accordance with a further preferred embodiment, the sections are telescopically connected to each other in the peripheral direction. This allows simple means to be used for moving the sections towards or away from each other in order to regulate the diameter of the frame.
According to a further preferred embodiment, the connecting means comprises a plurality of connecting units, each unit having a locking means. This allows a stable connection of the frame and the pot. For optimal stabilization of the pots, the number of connecting members is preferably 3 - 5. More than 5 pourers complicate the device.
In accordance with a further preferred embodiment, each connecting unit has a length that is adjustable. This allows the pot device to be compatible with different sizes of pots.
According to a further preferred embodiment, the pot device further comprises a pot. This allows the pot device to contain a germinating plant.
In accordance with yet another preferred embodiment, the pot arrangement is characterized in that the size of the included pot is adjustable. This makes it unnecessary to relocate plants in new pots.
The preferred embodiments are specified in the dependent claims.
Drawings Fig. 1 shows a side view of an example of the present invention.
Fig. 2 shows a top view of the device according to Fig. 1.
Fig. 3 shows a perspective view of the device according to Fig. 1.
Fig. 4 illustrates a top view of a known method where several pots are placed in a tray.
Fig. 5 illustrates a top view of pot devices according to the present invention. Detailed Description of the Invention Referring to Figs. 1-3 in the drawings, a specific example of a pot device having an outer frame (2) for holding a pot (1) within the frame is illustrated.
As indicated in the figures, the frame is designed as a closed loop, which has a circular shape. The closed loop prevents pot devices from hooking into each other and the circular shape of the frame provides stability in all directions. The lower end of the frame forms a support base, which is in contact with the ground and provides support for the pot device.
As illustrated in Fig. 2, the frame comprises two sections (2a and 2b) which are connected to each other, which facilitates the adjustment of the frame in a horizontal plane. In addition, the sections are telescopically connected to each other in the peripheral direction, which provides simple means for moving the sections towards and away from each other in order to adjust the diameter of the frame. Consequently, the diameter of the frame can be increased and decreased depending on the width of the plant parts protruding from the plant. The variable adjustment of the frame diameter can be achieved by using winding, sliding, screwing, adhesion, bolting, stringing, belting and / or holding arrangements arranged between the sections.
The pot device further comprises four connecting units (3), each unit having a locking means (4) for stable and secure connection of the frame and the pot.
In addition, the connecting units can be length-adjustable in order to provide the pot device with means for holding either (I) pots of different sizes or (II) pots which have an adjustable diameter. The length-adjustable connecting units can be manufactured in different ways, which is trivial for the person skilled in the art.
As indicated in Figs. 1-3, the pot may have a wider diameter at the edge (1a) than at the base (1b) of the pot. In addition, the pot may have drainage holes having at least one opening (5) at the base of the pot. Consequently, if the user waters the plant in the pot with water or a fertilizer solution or rain causes the pot to become oversaturated with water, the drainage holes allow excess water to leave the pot in and to allow a reasonable degree of moisture and fertilizer in the pot for better plant growth. . The excess water can be collected in a container (6) located below the pot (1).
Referring now to Fig. 4 which is illustrative of a known embodiment of arranging pots (10) on a conveyor belt (11). The pots are placed in troughs (12) and due to this property there is unused space (13) between the troughs, especially in the curves. In addition, in order to achieve optimum amount of light, the distance between the troughs must be increased as the plants grow. But the distance between the plants within a trough cannot be adjusted relative to the size of the plants due to lack of space; consequently, the pots must be removed from the troughs and placed in empty troughs in order to achieve the optimal amount of light for the plants.
An arrangement in accordance with the invention is shown in Fig. 5, where a plurality of pot devices according to the present invention are spaced side by side on a conveyor belt. Consequently, there is a minimal space between the pot devices, especially in the curves. In addition, the diameter of the pot (1) connected to the frame (2) can be increased in order to (I) maximize the efficient use of the growth space and to provide optimal spacing for the plants to receive the optimum amount of light, (ll) achieve better stability and (lll) ) prevent protruding plant parts from colliding with each other. Although Figs. 4 and 5 relate to troughs and pottery devices on a conveyor belt, this is for illustrative purposes only. The troughs and pottery devices can also be placed on tables, shelves, compartments, platforms, floors, ground, vehicles and / or any other surface where plants are grown in pots and where there is a need for (I) maximization of the efficient use of the cultivation space. and to provide optimal spacing for the plants, (ll) achieving greater stability and (lll) to prevent protruding plant parts from colliding with each other.
The pot device according to the present invention is used for agricultural cultivation, horticulture, agricultural cultivation as well as for greenhouse cultivation. The pot device is advantageously used in large-scale and commercial agricultural cultivation, horticulture, agricultural cultivation and greenhouse cultivation.
The pot device according to the present invention can be made of different materials. It can be made of plastic, clay or other suitable material. Those skilled in the art will appreciate that various materials can be used to produce the pot apparatus. The different materials can be used to meet different considerations such as weight, climate, aesthetics or other and a change in the material components of the device does not affect the usefulness or use of the pot device.
The pot device according to the present invention can be made in different sizes. Those skilled in the art will recognize that different sizes are possible without compromising the utility of the pot device. The pot device according to the present invention can be placed in any terrain where pots for plant cultivation are commonly used, including walkways, soil, sand, balconies, wooden floors, conveyor belts, etc.
